ATHLETIC SUMMER CAMP

Program Overview

Cultivating Youth Athletic Summer Camp hopes to assist our youth in the community with discovering a healthy lifestyle coupled with athletic skills, literacy, life skills, entrepreneurship, different career exploration breakouts, a summer trip & more! Our camp is open to boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 12 y/o.

Camp Operation

June 6th - July 22nd | Monday-Friday

Daily Itinerary 

7:00a - Before Care

8:00a-8:30a  Breakfast

8:45a - 9:00a  Morning Motivation Meeting

9:00a - 10:15a Athletic Skills Training/Breakout 

10:15a - 10:30a Morning Snack 

10:30a - 11:45a Athletic Skills Training/Breakout

11:45a - 12:15p Lunch 

12:15p - 12:45p Free Time 

12:45p - 1:00p Meditation Time

1:00p - 1:30p Team Building Activity  

1:30p - 2:15p Reading Breakout 

2:15p - 3:15p Free Play/Snack

3:15p - 4:00p Movie or Games 

The itinerary is subject to a slight change on some days due to scheduled trips and/or weather.

 

Mondays

Library: 1pm - 2:30pm

Tuesdays

Swimming: 10am - 11:30am

Wednesdays 

Field Trips - Varies

Thursday

Culinary Cooking

Fridays

Small Business Operations: 10am - 2pm

Food

Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Campers should bring a bottle of water daily.

Transportation

Transportation is available. Transportation cost is based on location of pick up and drop off. 

Camp Attire
Campers are required to wear closed-toe shoes, wear athletic apparel, bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent daily.

 

Swimming

Bathing suits and swimming shorts are mandatory on swim days. NORD pool will not allow youth to swim in cotton shorts and/or tops.

Campcation

Campcation is typically a 3 day trip that we take with the campers out of town. The campers pay for their own trip with the proceeds of their small business sales. It is the last week of camp, which is the last week of July.

Repeat campers may call to secure their spot. All first time campers must register at 3445 Toledano Street, NOLA 70125 with registration documents & fee. Repeat campers can call to register.
